Jeanne Dolmetsch L.R.A.M.

Jeanne Dolmetsch was the daughter of Dr. Carl Dolmetsch C.B.E. and a grand-daughter of Arnold Dolmetsch. Taught recorder, viol and harpsichord by her father, she went on from The Royal Naval School, Haslemere to study violin and piano at The Royal Academy of Music, London where she gained her L.R.A.M.

Like her younger twin-sister Marguerite, she was an active professional musician giving concerts throughout Great Britain and abroad. She lectured for The Decorative and Fine Arts Society, adjudicated for the British Federation of Music Festivals and worked as an editor, arranger and reviewer. Jeanne Dolmetsch died in Guildford, Surrey on 29 October 2018
